Now More Than Ever
The National Reconciliation Week theme for 2024, Now More Than Ever, was a reminder that no matter what, the fight for justice and the rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people will, and must, continue. Using the ‘Sea of Hands’ as inspiration (a prominent Australian symbol used to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander land rights and reconciliation), students across all year levels created their own hand design with a message to help celebrate Reconciliation Week.
International Day Against LGBTQIA+ Discrimination
On 17th May, students across all year levels recognised IDAHOBIT (International Day Against LGBTQIA+ Discrimination). Students discussed the purpose of the day and the ways in which they can all be respectful and inclusive allies. They then designed posters that were displayed across the school which showed unique messages of support.
