Year 12 Formal

On Friday 7th June, Nossal High School’s Class of 2024 unfolded in a dazzling display of style, elegance, and unforgettable memories.

The excitement was electric, with the event having been anticipated for many months. Students had spent weeks planning to deliver an outstanding outfit for their final year, and deliver they did! The theme “Vogue” inspired a myriad of stunning outfits, from beautiful classics to avant-garde ensembles, each reflecting the unique personalities of our Year 12 cohort.

As the evening commenced, students and teachers captured the moment with countless photos and selfies, each click of the camera a keepsake of the precious memories made on the night. The energy throughout the ballroom was infectious, with laughter, smiles, and chatter filling the air as everyone celebrated our final formal together. To make it even better, the dinner was a culinary delight, with an amazing set of entrée, mains, and desserts. Throughout the night, the dance floor was constantly alive as students showcased their dance moves.

The evening was filled with entertainment and excitement from 3 spectacular musical performances. Chenumi Gunawardana opened the night with her stunning song “Feet Don't Fail Me Now” by Joy Crookes. She was followed by Leo Tran and Rearch Phala’s sweet performance “I like me better” by Lauv. Lastly, Jasmine Walker closed the night perfectly with her enchanting performance of the song “Never Enough” by Lauren Allred.

Another highlight of the evening was the much-anticipated voting for Formal Awards. The competition was fierce, as everyone looked their absolute best. The winners, crowned in a moment of fun and applause, were truly uplifted by the supportive cohort around them.

As the night drew to a close, it was clear that our Year 12 Formal was more than just an event. It was a celebration of friendships, a farewell to high school, and a glimpse into the bright futures of our incredible cohort. The memories created that night will undoubtedly be cherished for many years to come.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this night a success - from our fellow committee members to the attendees, but most importantly, Ms Soltys. Your efforts and enthusiasm truly made our Year 12 Formal, an event to hold dear.

With Warm regards, John Htun and Sharnie Lau
