Principal's Report

Dear families,

THANK YOU

Many thanks to Filippa and the team for stepping in while I was on Long Service Leave. I’m very grateful to work with such a dedicated and capable group of people. It’s a real comfort knowing the school continues to run smoothly when any of us take time away.

CONGRATULATIONS

Congratulations to two of our past students, Gabe Garner and Hanna Turner, who have been elected to the leadership positions of College Captain and Kennedy House Captain respectively at Notre Dame College for 2026.

Gabe and Hanna were appointed by their peers and staff through a process that involves nomination, development seminars, interviews and, finally, voting by the College community. 

We are very proud of Gabe and Hanna, and of their achievements

PUPIL FREE DAYS

Monday 3rd is a Professional Practice Day, and Tuesday is a public holiday for Melbourne Cup. Both these days are pupil free days. 

JUNIOR SCHOOL EXCURSION

Students from Foundation to Grade 2 will head off to Billabong Ranch near Echuca next Friday for an action-packed day including, bungee trampoline, teacup ride, bouldering and mini golf. The bus will leave school at approximately 9am and return in time for school dismissal at 3.15pm.

GRADE 1 TEA & GRADE & SLEEPOVER

Grade 1 & 2 After-School Activities will see, our Grade 1 and 2 studentsenjoy a sporting activity, followed by a disco and dinner. Grade 1 students will finish at 7:00pm, while Grade 2 students will stay overnight and are to be collected at 8:00am on Saturday morning.

A huge thank you to all staff who have kindly volunteered their time to support this part of the camping program.

NETWORK PRINCIPAL CONFERENCE

Filippa and I will be attending the Network Conference in Marysville next Friday.
