Sampai Jumpa Bu Gaby

This week we say farewell to Bu Gaby. Bu Gaby has been our Language Assistant for the Primary TCL (Teacher as Co-Learner) program. She has supported our classroom teachers as they delivered the Indonesian language units. She has shared her first-hand knowledge of the language as well as Indonesian culture and made the learning real for all of the students. Her beautiful, calm nature and language expertise has helped us all to engage in learning Bahasa Indonesia.

We say a big Terima kasih Bu Gaby and we hope to have you back next year!

Study Tour 2026

We also held an information evening for a proposed Study Tour to Indonesia and Malaysia for 2026. We hope to run a 9 day trip for Year 9-11 students to explore the Malaysian colonial city of Kuching and visit our Partner School in Singkawang. This tour will bring together the connections we have made over the last 10 years of our BRIDGE partnership, improve language skills and develop global citizenship.

Certificate II Applied Language

Finally, we say Congratulations to Phoenix Filipic, Amelia Kovacic, Sasha Leary and Cheyenne Newsome who have completed their Certificate II Applied Language, Indonesian. Well done on all your hard work and we hope you will have opportunities to use Bahasa Indonesia the future. Semoga banyak sukses di masa depan!
