Principal's Update

Hello Everyone,

This term is flying past and it's hard to believe we are already at week 8 and it's hard to believe we only have 4 weeks left of the school year! Our remaining weeks are likely to be very busy as we have a lot happening along with our normal teaching and learning. Please be mindful of the activities we have coming up this term:

  • Swimming Program
  • Orientation Day
  • Year 6 Graduation
  • Christmas Concert
  • New classes/new teachers announced

SunSmart Policy

A reminder that hats are compulsory for all students this term as per our SunSmart Policy. Students are to wear a broad brimmed bottle green or navy blue hat when outside for break times and sport. Hats are available for purchase at Worklocker Cobram. As the weather is heating up it is also important that students bring a water bottle to school and apply sunscreen before school, and during the day as required. There is sunscreen available in every classroom.

Swimming Program

Our Swimming Program commences on Monday 1st December for all students. These lessons form part of our Health and Physical Education learning area and all students are expected to participate in lessons. In our community, where water is a big part of our lifestyle - whether it's backyard pools, rivers, lakes or the beach - ensuring every child knows how to stay safe around water is more important than ever. School swimming lessons provide a safe, structured environment where students can learn the basics of water safety and build their swimming ability.

Unfortunately there may be days we may need to cancel lessons, due to cold temperatures, and we will notify families via Facebook and Compass if this is the case.

I encourage families to talk to their children about what they are learning, celebrate their progress, and reinforce safe practices around water at home. Together, we can help all our students become capable, confident, and safe swimmers.

Have a great week!
