Congratulations to our wonderful year 12 VCE students who have almost completed the 2025 VCE examinations. Final exams conclude mid-way through next week. Students have so much to be proud of, including their exceptional display of stamina, resilience and for many their hard work and application to achieve their very best. On behalf of the college, I would like to wish each of them our very best wishes and best of luck for tertiary placements and future employment opportunities. Final results are due to be released in mid-December.

We will have a final formal opportunity to say farewell and to indeed celebrate the achievements of our year 12 students at this year’s Graduation Ceremony on December the 15th. We look forward to seeing our year 12 students there.

As one year level prepares to leave our college a brand-new year level starts to begin their unique journey into secondary school. I was thrilled to meet the grade six students last Wednesday, when they attended our Getting to Know you day. They were full of smiles and excitement and exceptionally courteous. Throughout the day they completed a series of tasks which will allow us to know them as learners and begin in our preparation to ensure they settle into secondary college smoothly. I look forward to meeting families of our youngest students on the 25th of November at our Year 7 Parent information session.

Year 11 students begin their exams this week, followed by their important Orientation program in readiness for year 12. In this program students will begin work in their Unit 3 subjects and VM studies, they will be provided with essential work and reading tasks that will be required to be completed over the summer break.  These are compulsory tasks and will be marked by teachers upon their return next year. They will need to ensure that they have purchased all class texts and materials as per their booklists during the holiday period to allow for completion of these tasks.  These tasks go towards their first school assessed tasks and are essential for a strong start to year 12.

As parents, please support your children in arriving at school on time. Over the past several weeks students have seen students at all levels arriving late at school. They need to be at school by 8.30 to ensure they have their class materials ready in preparation for the first class beginning at 8.40. These are important life skills in young adults and ensure independence and responsibility for their own learning. Thank you in your efforts with us to support these essential learner attributes.

The school leadership team is currently planning for our Annual Implementation Plan for 2026. We thank parents who have taken the time to provide valuable feedback in the 2026 Parent/Caregiver surveys. This data along with student and staff surveys, Naplan, and student subject results provide a suite of information for our team to consider in build on improvements to future directions.

As always, I would also like to take this opportunity to thank parents and careers for your ongoing support of the college throughout this year. We certainly appreciate your partnering alongside us in this important educational journey for all our students.
