Foundation (Prep) 2026

Transition Program

We are enjoying welcoming and getting to know the 78 children enrolled to commence in Foundation (Prep) next year at EHPS. 

The transition program for all enrolled Foundation (Prep) 2026 children is invaluable in preparing the children to begin their life at primary school, and to provide information for parents/guardians for their child’s start at school. We strongly encourage involvement in this program so children and their families are well prepared for the exciting transition into starting school next year. The transition program runs during this term as follows:

• Transition 1 – Friday 7 November – children engaged in a hands on mathematics session and parents heard from our Numeracy Specialist, Kelvin Tang. 
• Transition 2 – Friday 14 November – children participated in a rotation of specialist activities in P.E., Music, Art and Indonesian. Parents heard from Julie Zuk our First Aid Officer and Spartan School World about uniform. 
• Transition 3 – Friday 28 November – children will engage in a fun literacy session, and parents will hear from Renèe Dare, our Literacy Specialist.
• Orientation – Friday 5 December.

An Information Evening for Foundation (Prep) 2026 parents will be held next Tuesday, 18 November, from 6pm to 7.30pm. This evening will include a secondhand uniform stall run by our Parents & Friends Club.

Details of these sessions have been provided to our enrolled families, and we look forward to the children participating in these vital sessions. 

Families have also received an online Social Consideration and General Interest form to complete online by TODAY, Friday 14 November. This information is essential to our planning and preparation for the children starting school next year, including class placement.
