ABS Labour Force Data - September 2025 

The following is the ABS Labour Force Data for September 2025. Knowing what the job market looks like gives you more information to help you make great career decisions. In seasonally adjusted terms, in September 2025: 

 

  • unemployment rate increased to 4.5%. 
  • participation rate increased to 67.0%. 
  • employment increased to 14,640,200. 
  • employment to population ratio remained at 64.0%. 
  • underemployment rate increased to 5.9%. 
  • monthly hours worked increased to 1,987 million. 
  • full-time employment increased by 8,700 to 10,082,800 people. 
  • part-time employment increased by 6,300 to 4,557,400 people.
