It's a Wrap and a Thanks
As we come to the end of another school year, I would like to sincerely thank our families for the support, trust and partnership you have shown throughout the year. Your encouragement at home, engagement with learning, and ongoing collaboration with staff make a meaningful difference to the experiences and success of our students.
Together, we have worked as one to support children to learn, grow and thrive, and we are deeply grateful for the role families play in our school community. On behalf of all staff, thank you for being such an important part of our school. We wish you a safe, restful and enjoyable holiday break and look forward to continuing our work together in the year ahead.
Final Day of the 2025 School Year
Friday the 19th of December is our final day of school for the 2025 school year. Please note that there is an earlier finish time of 1:30 pm on this day.
Departing Students
As we bid farewell to 2025, we want to celebrate our incredible Grade 6 graduates and those moving on to new schools in 2026. You have worked so hard, grown so much, and brought so much joy to our school community.
While it’s always bittersweet to say goodbye, we are so proud of all you’ve achieved and know you’re ready for the exciting adventures ahead. Thank you for the memories and for leaving your unique mark on our school.

School Council and Volunteer Helpers - Thank You!
Continuing the best wishes, we want to take a moment to celebrate the incredible contributions of our school council members and parent volunteers. Your time, energy, and dedication have made a lasting impact on our school community, from organising events to supporting classrooms and shaping the direction of our school.
Thank you for your unwavering support and generosity—your efforts have helped create a vibrant, nurturing environment for our students to thrive in. We are so grateful for everything you do and look forward to another wonderful year together in 2026.
School Holidays and Staff Availability
Like all employees, our staff require time away from the demands of the workplace.
If you have important queries or information, please email these to the school email address which is at golden.square.ps@education.vic.gov.au or to Leanne's email which is at Leanne.Miller@education.vic.gov.au. These emails will be checked during the break but may not be checked daily or responded to immediately.
We will be updating articles on our school website with various pieces of information relating to the return to school, facebook posts will occur, and Compass will also be used to communicate with you.
By using these forms of communication, we are showing our deep appreciation to the hard-working staff at our school by allowing them to relax and return with renewed energy.
The office telephone will be answered from Wednesday 21st January.
School Reports
The end of year school reports are now available to you on Compass. We are hoping that you have booked in to talk through the report with your child's teacher. Bookings are still open on Compass at this stage.
If your child is leaving the school this year, please make sure you take a moment to download the reports and save them. Unfortunately, you will lose access to these in the new year.
Christmas Concert
We wished to thank our school community for the wonderful support shown at last week's Christmas Concert. The children were so excited to perform for you all and had worked hard with their teachers in the lead up to ensure it was a real success.
