你 好 (ni hao) Foundation, Year 1 and Year 2 families,
FOUNDATIONS FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!
Wow what an exciting week it has been in Foundation! The students have done so well settling into school life, school routines and play and learning! The first day of school was incredible with many students exclaiming that it was "the best day ever"! Students, explored, built, created, drew, cut and played. See the photos below for some highlights.
Our Start Up Program has explored our Berry Street Practices such as our Morning Circle, Our school value of Respect, and our class Acknowledgement of Countries. In English, we have began to explore Pre-Writing concepts, name Writing and Mini Whiteboard Routines. Students have been practicing 'Park it', 'Hover it', 'Write it', 'Chin it', 'Cap it' and 'Bin it'. In Mathematics, students have explored sorting materials according to the colour or object exploring the mathematics resources we use at school. It has been SO MUCH FUN!
