OSHCLUB News

Week 2 of Term 1 was a wonderful week full of great food, creativity, active play, and lots of smiles. The children have continued to settle into routines and are building strong connections with friends and educators.

Our Breakfast Club was a big hit this week, with smoothie pops, scrambled eggs, yoghurt cones, waffles, and cheese toasties on the menu. These relaxed mornings gave children a chance to socialise and start their day feeling happy and energised.

Snack Squad in the afternoons kept everyone well-fed with a delicious variety of options including garlic bread and tomato soup, salad wraps, spring rolls, tacos, and pizza scrolls. There was something for everyone to enjoy!

Creativity was in full swing as children explored painting portraits, watercolouring, baking muffins, creating wool art, and learning coiling techniques. These activities supported self-expression, fine motor skills, and confidence in trying new things.

Our brain booster activities encouraged problem-solving and focus through origami learning, paper plane competitions, water art, and a range of logic puzzles and word searches. The children loved the challenge!

We enjoyed plenty of outdoor fun with assorted group games designed to reinforce teamwork, along with soccer, parachute games, dodgeball, and lots of free play on the web and playground.

We also celebrated Leyla’s birthday this week with iced cupcakes and fun games, making it a special and memorable moment for the children. Overall, it was a great week filled with learning, laughter, and connection, and we’re excited for what’s to come in Week 3!

Summer Holiday Program

Our Summer Holiday program was a vibrant and engaging period, offering children a wide range of experiences that supported social connection, confidence and fun. Highlights included exciting excursions to the cinemas to watch Zootopia 2, Bounce, and the Inflatable Fun Park, which provided opportunities for active play and shared experiences with peers.

Children also participated in a variety of engaging incursions and in-house activities, including candle-making workshops, Ben & Jerry’s sundae stations, and relaxed outdoor picnics. On warmer days, children enjoyed water play and water fights, helping them stay cool while encouraging teamwork and laughter. Overall, the holiday program created a positive, inclusive environment where children could explore new interests, build friendships and create lasting memories before transitioning back into the school term.

Cancellation of Bookings

IMPORTANT: If your child is booked in for an afternoon Stay and Play session and that booking is no longer required, please cancel the booking on the iParent Portal. If you are cancelling on the day, please contact us on the program phone before 3:15pm.

We are responsible for all children booked into our care. If a child does not arrive after school care when booked in to attend, we will need to confirm the whereabouts of the child by contacting parents/guardians and emergency contacts. If we cannot successfully do this, it then becomes a missing child incident.

As you can imagine, this can be very stressful!

Thanks for your cooperation by notifying us of any Stay and Play absences.
