Wonderful 1

One-derful Class Chronicles
Term 1 Week 4 2026 - Friday 20th February
What have we been up to?
Over the past fortnight in Reading and Writing, we have begun exploring adventure narratives, starting with Alfie’s Search for Destiny. Students have been practising important comprehension skills such as making connections and retelling events in order, while also learning about the structure and key features of adventure stories.
In Maths, we have started our Data unit. Students have been focusing on tally marks and how we use them to collect information. We are also learning how to represent and interpret data in different ways.
In Inquiry, students are exploring our Geography unit, Local Places: Natural, Managed & Constructed. They are learning about special places in our local area, including natural, managed and built features, how places change over time, and how people including First Nations Australians care for them. Students are asking questions, creating maps and sharing their discoveries through drawings and explanations.
We would also like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank Mrs Taylor for her dedication and hard work at Le Page. She has made a wonderful contribution to our school community and has supported both staff and students with care and commitment. Her positivity and willingness to always lend a hand will be greatly missed. We wish her every success and happiness as she begins her next adventure.
A friendly reminder to please send through a family photo for our Family Wall if you haven’t already. Thank you!
