Why Attendance is Important
When a student misses school they miss out on vital learning opportunities and building social and life skills. Even as little as one day per fortnight can have an enormous impact on their learning over the course of their school life. In order to maximise their potential it is essential that we have students on-site and ready to learn each and every day.
School Photos
School Photos will be held on Friday the 8th of March. All students are to be dressed in full school uniform, including footwear. Hair past shoulder length must be tied back and all jewellery must be in line with school requirements (refer to the General Reminders page).
Most families will have received an email from MSP directly, with a link to ordering. Please check your emails (including your spam folder) and follow the ordering process (refer to screenshot below). For those who haven't received an email from MSP or who do not currently have Compass log-in details, please contact the General Office as soon as possible.
Friday Lunch Special
We would like to express our thanks to Tim Chandler, member of Raglan CFA and owner of Cave Hill Creek, for his generous donation of fruit and vegetables to the school. On Friday the canteen will be selling Baked Potatoes with coleslaw, bacon, cheese and sour cream for $5 each, with $2 from each purchase going to raise funds for the Raglan CFA.
Breakfast Club
Breakfast Club runs every Monday and Wednesday morning from 8:30am in the Student Centre. This is a joint initiative of the Victorian Government and Foodbank and provides students with a variety of free, nutritious breakfast options including toast, muesli, yoghurt, pancakes, toasted sandwiches and fruit. Students are most welcome to come and help themselves to whatever they feel like on the day.
Unwanted School Uniforms
Do you have any unwanted uniforms, that are in good condition and no longer in use? If so, you are welcome to donate them to the school via the General Office. All sizes accepted.
Lost Property
There are currently a number of items for collection in Lost Property, including a puffer jacket, multiple pencil cases and a set of headphones. If you think any of these items may belong to you, please see Mrs. Newberry in the library.
Doctors In Schools
Our fortnightly Doctors in Schools Service (DISS) has commenced and will continue throughout the year. This is a valuable service that we are incredibly fortunate to have access to. The doctor will be on-site on Thursday the 22nd of February. If any students would like to arrange an appointment, please see either Jackie or Mrs Newberry.
Canteen Menu
Please see our canteen menu below. All orders must be submitted by recess as there will not be any extra food available for purchase at lunchtime.
2023 BSC School Magazine
We still have some copies of the 2023 School Magazine for any families who did not receive a copy at the end of the year. If you are interested, they are available for collection from the General Office.
