Dear DVC Families,

Diamond Valley College happens to be a partner school to the Banyule Nillumbik Tech School (BNTS), an initiative to help schools access technology and expertise they may otherwise be unable.

As a part of their commitment, BNTS has provided equipment from their loan library including two 3D printers, an MDX-50 4-axis milling machine, oscilloscopes and four GoPro cameras. This loan of advanced technology opens opportunity for student innovation and creativity, enabling exploration of ideas and skills in new ways including the creation of intricate 3D models using both subtractive and additive manufacturing techniques, accessing accurate electrical measuring equipment and capturing digital records of evidence for learning tasks.

We are excited to see how our students will use these tools to push the boundaries of their creativity and technical skills. The partnership with BNTS does more than enhance our learning environment, it also offers our students an ability to engage with technology relevant to many of the industries which surround our community.

We would like to thank the Banyule Nillumbik Tech School for the loan equipment and invite students studying Technology at Diamond Valley College to consider ways they can leverage the capabilities on offer to further their learning.
