Year 7 Camp 2024

Ella Castelluccio & Scarlett Hare

On Wednesday the 28th of March the year 7 students ventured off to Phillip Island for their exciting Year 7 Camp! For the older Diamond Valley College students reading, we hope this brings back some memories for you.

The morning of camp was buzzing with excitement and even some nerves. Arriving there was equally as exciting with us getting to find our cabins and settle in with our friends.

The activities from surfing, to the flying fox and giant swing were all fun, kept us busy and definitely wore us out a bit. It was great to see people who were nervous be encouraged and cheered on by their group members.

These experiences also gave us a chance to push ourselves, overcome hesitations and fears and have heaps of fun with our friends. Furthermore, it was also a great introduction to the people in our year level, made our current bonds stronger and introduced us to people in other classes.

Overall camp was a great experience, a great chance to make many new friends and to get to know the teachers at DVC more.

A huge thank you to all the teachers who came to support us along with Tara and Sam for organising it all. We had heaps of fun and it will be a memory we treasure for a long time. It couldn’t have happened without you.
