Dear Grade 3 Parents and Guardians,
We have had a fun filled term with exciting activities and learning experiences for our Grade Three students. Let's dive into some of the highlights from the past term.
NAPLAN Success
We're thrilled to report that our Grade 3 students have been excelling in their NAPLAN assessments! Their hard work and dedication to their studies have truly paid off, and we're incredibly proud of their achievements. It's wonderful to see them applying themselves and demonstrating their skills in such important assessments.
Clean Up Australia Day
Our students eagerly participated in Clean Up Australia Day, taking the initiative to tidy and neaten up our school grounds. It was heartwarming to witness their enthusiasm for environmental conservation and their willingness to contribute to keeping our school environment clean and beautiful. Their efforts truly embody the spirit of community and responsibility.
S
TEM Bridge-Building Activity
In class, our Grade 3 students engaged in an exciting STEM activity where they put their engineering skills to the test. Armed with only popsicle sticks and their creativity, they were challenged to build a bridge that could span the gap between two tables positioned 15cm apart. It was amazing to see their problem-solving abilities in action as they collaborated, experimented, and refined their designs to achieve success. This hands-on activity not only fostered critical thinking but also sparked a passion for STEM disciplines among our young learners.
Author Visit with Gregg Dreise
The highlight of our recent weeks was undoubtedly the visit from First Nations author Gregg Dreise. His captivating storytelling and meaningful narratives deeply resonated with our Grade 3 students, who were enthralled by his tales. Meeting a real-life author inspired our budding writers and encouraged them to explore their own creativity and storytelling abilities. It was a memorable experience that left a lasting impression on both students and staff alike.
As we continue our journey through the school year, we look forward to more enriching experiences and opportunities for growth and learning. Thank you for your ongoing support and involvement in your child's education. Together, we can nurture a love for learning and empower our Grade 3 students to reach their full potential.
Warm regards,
Your Grade 3 Teachers
