Captains' Corner

Hello everyone, we are Scarlett and Sabrina. As the 2024 Henderson House Captains, we are pleased to be here and report to you about our 'Pal'entine's Day activity at Clayfield College. 

'Pal'entine's Day holds great significance for each of us as it provides an opportunity to express love and gratitude to family and friends. Therefore, Henderson House, through this meaningful occasion, organised a fundraiser for MS Australia and hoped to draw attention to Multiple Sclerosis (MS). MS Australia has a long history of supporting and helping Australian individuals and families affected by MS. They are dedicated to improving the lives affected by MS, providing resources and services to empower individuals and raise awareness of the disease. Given this great causes, we spent a lot of time and energy to ensure the MS Australia fundraising event could be held successfully.

The 'Pal'entine's Day celebration was extremely important for us as not only is it the first fundraiser of the year, but it is also the first project for us as House Captains. We had countless meetings and tried our best to make this event a success. In order to encourage everyone to engage and feel our enthusiasm, we prepared around 500 ribbons for staff and students to tie on their hair or hands. We would also like to give a massive thanks here to the Senior students in Henderson House, Lindsay and Nevaeh, because the fundraising could not have run as well as it did without their support and ideas.

Finally, we sincerely appreciate everyone's active participation in the 'Pal'entine's Day fundraising event. Your high level of participation goes a long way in supporting MS Australia and people's attention to MS. We are also deeply moved by everyone's active participation in this event, so we would like to express our most sincere and heartfelt thanks to all. We are grateful to everyone for supporting the fundraising activity, Henderson House, and us. Without your full support, we would not be able to carry out this fundraiser.
