Cross Country Skiing Years 5 and 6
Session 1 for our students in years 5 and 6 unfortunately had to be canceled due to poor conditions. We are hopeful they can get on the snow next Wednesday, please do a snow dance to encouge Pete The Snow Dragon with his snow making for us.
Howmans Gap are kindly helping to run our sessions again this year and we extend our thanks to them and also to AGL, for helping sponsor some of the costs involved with this year's skiing programs.
Downhill Skiing and Snowboarding
Day 3
Our Year 5 and 6 students headed up to Falls Creek for their third and final day of downhill skiing/snowboarding. All our students have progressed with new skills and our first timer group are now confident down blue runs. A hugh shoutout to our teching staff, ES staff, parent volunteers and to Falls Creek Snowsports for allocating professional and fun instructors. And, to AGL, for helping sponsor some of the costs involved with this year's downhill programs.
Volleyball with Dave
Today students in class 4/5 starting some skills clinics in PE in volleyball. As a team the most hits to keep the ball up reached 16. They then moved onto a fast paste game of four square volleyball with King/Queen/Jack/Dunce, 3 on a team per square, only 1 hit per team member. WOW!
Mini Olympics
Students in class 3/4 have taken to various Olympic disiplines: modified indoor basketball, yacht racing and fencing.
Class 1/2 have started to enjoy some Yoga in our multi-purpose space this week and will commence Gymnastics next session.
