Learning Conversations
Our final Learning Conversations session for this year will be held on Tuesday 10th September, 2024 between 3.30 and 6.00 pm.
Welcome to Country
On Friday 6th September we are hoping to have a Wurundjeri elder visit our school to conduct a smoking ceremony and Welcome to Country. This would tie in with Indigenous Literacy Day on Wednesday 4th September and is a way to celebrate the planting of our Indigenous garden earlier in the year.
We have been liaising with the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Cultural Heritage Aboriginal Corporation and at present we have been allocated a time and believe this will take place at 2.45pm. We are, however, currently seeking confirmation of this time and date. In the event that the smoking ceremony is not able to occur, our school Fire carrier Leaders will lead a short session. The proposed visit will replace Year 5/6 assembly which will now take place on Friday 18th October.

Book Week
Everyone had such a fun time at the Book Week Parade on Friday. We saw some wonderful book characters including Where’s Wally, Minion’s, Superheroes, and a Big Green Dinosaur! There were also some Magicians wandering around the school. Thank you to Ms Julie for organising the Book Week activities. ‘Reading is Magic’
