Term 3 Highlights

Celebrating Our Prep - 2 Achievements!

As we wrap up a busy and exciting Term 3, it’s a wonderful time to reflect on the fantastic things that have been happening in our Prep - 2 area.

This term, we celebrated Book Week with great enthusiasm! Students dressed up in

 creative costumes and shared their favourite books, diving into the magic of reading. It was wonderful to see so many of our students excited about their chosen characters and stories.

Our Preps have been learning all about Earth and Space. A highlight was making a rain cloud in a cup as part of our hands-on science experiments. The curiosity and excitement our students displayed were truly inspiring!

Our Grade 1/2 students have been busy building catapults and learning about the effects of force on objects. The hands-on activities in our HASS program have been a hit, helping students enhance their critical thinking, creativity, and teamwork skills.

In Maths, we focused on counting and exploring various ways to manipulate numbers. From simple counts to more complex exercises, our students have been honing their mathematical skills and discovering new ways to understand numbers. We’ve also been busy measuring different objects. Students explored concepts like longer, shorter, heavier, and lighter, and they introduced addition and subtraction into their mathematical toolkit. They’ve been engaging in activities that help them show everything they’ve learned about numbers.

During our Literacy blocks, students have been working hard on their narrative stories. They are refining their writing skills and finding their unique voices. It’s exciting to see their progress and creativity shine through their stories. Using iPads in our lessons has been a favourite among students. They are exploring different ways to publish their writing and use technology as a tool to enhance their learning experience.

Our Preps and Grade 1/2 students have shown remarkable progress this term. Their enthusiasm, hard work, and growth are truly commendable.
