eSaftey Parent Webinars

At Orchard Park Primary School, we are deeply committed to fostering a safe and responsible online environment for our students. This commitment extends beyond the classroom, as we believe that a collaborative approach between the school and families is essential to ensuring our children’s wellbeing in the digital world.

To support this, back in Semester One, all Middle and Senior school students and their parents signed the Orchard Park Primary School Online Safety Agreement. Our students and teachers collaboratively developed this agreement, which outlines the expectations and responsibilities for safe online behaviour at school and at home. This can be a great starting point for beginning or continuing conversations with your child about what they have agreed to.

We recognise that it can be challenging for parents when children feel social pressure to be online to stay connected with their peers. Balancing these pressures with the need to ensure your child's mental health and safety is no easy task. However, setting clear boundaries and expectations around technology use is crucial in supporting your child’s overall wellbeing. It’s not just about preventing negative experiences—it’s about empowering your child with the skills they need to navigate the online world responsibly and resiliently.

We want to emphasise that this is a joint effort between the school and parents. We are here to support you in any way we can, whether it's through resources, guidance, or open communication. We look forward to working together to create a safe online environment for our students.

Thank you for your continued partnership in keeping our students safe, both online and offline.
