New Staff
Please help us welcome the following staff into our College community
Matthew Atherton
Matthew Atherton joins us as a Music Teacher. As well as a teacher, he is also an organist and composer. Matthew's professional career has featured many solo and ensemble performances, including engagements with the Adelaide Symphony and Chamber Orchestras and most of Adelaide's major choirs. He also performs for the Adelaide Town Hall's annual organ recital series. Most recently in July this year, he performed to an almost capacity audience. Since 1997, he has also performed on significant historical organs around the United Kingdom, France, Switzerland, and Sweden.
Matthew is married to Cheryl, a musician and aged care worker, and they have two sons, the oldest of whom is a Corporal in the 7th Battalion, RAR (Royal Australian Regiment). Their younger son is a keen guitarist, and they have often watched many a World Cup final together, keeping the neighbourhood awake with their shouts of elation!
Matthew is excited to join the Endeavour College community, and is eager to pass on his love of music to our students.
Julia Baldwin
Since migrating with her husband and children (now 29 and 27 years) to Adelaide from the UK in 2006, Julia has been working at Westminster School. Formerly a primary school classroom teacher, Julia completed her Master of Education in Teacher Librarianship and took up a Teacher Librarian role in 2008. She is excited to join the librarian team here at Endeavour in the Discovery Centre and is also looking forward to connecting with a whole new school of students and colleagues. As a Teacher Librarian, Julia is passionate about reading and helping students on their reading journey, as well as continuing with her own learning accessing both print and digital resources.
In her spare time, Julia can be found frequenting bookshops and libraries, as well as walking on the beach with friends and her mini labradoodle Florence (Flossie).
Wanting to take a little more time for herself and become more creative, Julia’s new pastime is painting. Although she is enjoying this, she is very aware of her limitations and says she won’t be booking an exhibition just yet.
Lucy Hosking
Lucy joins us at Endeavour as the Executive Assistant to our Principal, Mr Baird.
Lucy has extensive experience in the organisational side of the real estate industry, as well as across many support and sales roles over the last decade.
Lucy is excited to be working at Endeavour College and is eager to get to know the staff and students within the community.
Outside of College life, Lucy enjoys spending time with her family, husband Dan and baby girl Lottie, going to brunch or dinners with friends and the occasional Pilates class or hike.
Monica Kim
Monica has joined Endeavour as the Executive Project Officer, bringing 20+ years of experience supporting various businesses.
This is her first role in a school setting, and she’s already loving the new thriving environment.
Monica is a member of the Showground Markets; you'll find her there every weekend picking up some amazing locally grown produce. She’s an indoor gardener and has a strong passion for all things related to health and wellbeing.
Monica is excited to be part of the school community and looks forward to making a meaningful contribution.
Domenic Scopacasa
Domenic joins the Adaptive Education Team here at Endeavour as a Learning Support Assistant. Domenic recently graduated from UniSA with a Bachelor of Psychology in Counselling and Interpersonal Skills.
He also works with UniSA as a mentor for first year university students, and volunteers mentoring high school students through the Raise Foundation. Domenic loves cooking, exercising at the gym, spending time with family and friends and going to the football to support the Port Adelaide Football Club.
Domenic is looking forward to integrating into our College community and assisting our students where needed.
