Preparation - Year 2 Life Education Incursion - Wednesday 14 and Friday 16 August, 2024

Life Education will be visiting Massie House on Wednesday 14 August and Friday 16 August 2024. For over 40 years Harold the Giraffe has been the mascot of Life Education.

He works ‘virtually’ in the classroom with the educator, to help encourage conversations with the students about situations they might find themselves in and how to act in a positive way when they do.

If you have any questions regarding this incursion please contact your daughter’s class teacher.

Year 2 Child's Play Excursion - Vaucluse House  - Wednesday 21 August, 2024

Year 2 students have been studying ‘Changes in Technology’ as part of their Term 3 History unit of work.

On Wednesday 21 August, students will take part in an excursion to Vaucluse House. This excursion will concentrate on what life was like at Vaucluse House in the 1860s for the Wentworth family and their servants. Working as history detectives, they will investigate the bedrooms, kitchen, drawing room, scullery, and kitchen garden for clues that help them understand how a grand mansion functioned in the 1860s. As well as exploring the house and estate, students will participate in a range of activities to get ‘hands-on’ with the past.

Students are to be at school at normal time for roll call and bus departure at 9.00am. Girls will return to school at 2.45pm in time for normal school carline collection or Extra Curricular activities.

PLEASE NOTE THERE WILL BE NO CANTEEN LUNCHES ON THIS DAY.

Girls are to bring all food and water (recess & lunch) for the day in their black Kambala Excursion bag.

Students are to wear full winter uniform including blazers and panama hats (blue jumpers may only be worn under blazers if the weather is very cold).

A permission slip for parents to complete and information pertaining to this excursion has been sent to parents and carers.

Preparation - Year 6 Junior School Book Week Parade - Tivoli Lawn - Friday 23 August, 2024 - 10.00 - 11.00am

Parents are warmly invited to our annual Book Week Character Parade on Tivoli Lawn. Please bring a picnic blanket and Morning Tea to share with your daughter.

Please note that due to the outdoor nature and timing of this event so close to our HSC and International Baccalaureate Trials, we are unable to secure a wet weather back up date for this event.  In the event of wet weather the girls will enjoy the day at school in costume and celebrate in classes, but we will be unable to proceed with the Preparation to Year 6 Book Character Parade.

We thank you for your support and understanding. We are praying for fine weather on Friday 23 August.

Should the Parade need to be cancelled, notification will be posted on Sundial at 7.00am on Friday 23 August.

Please also note, parking will be very limited on the day. Tivoli gates will open from 9.40am on the day.
