Reflecting on Semester 1, we concluded by celebrating our student's activities and achievements.

The semester saw the success of Nude Food Day on June 7th, where students enthusiastically embraced healthy eating and sustainability by packing waste-free lunches.

Following this, Values Day on June 14th provided a platform for meaningful discussions and reflections, reinforcing our school's values of C.A.R.E.S. among our students.

Alongside these enriching events, the timeless joy of 'Hide and Seek' added a playful dimension to our end-of-term, fostering student teamwork and creativity. This classic game encouraged problem-solving skills and strengthened friendships, highlighting the importance of camaraderie and active play in our school environment.

Together, we eagerly anticipate more learning adventures and opportunities for growth in Semester 2.

This month has been buzzing with fantastic activities at Kilberry Valley Primary School. Our middle school students had a blast during Science Day, diving into hands-on experiments like creating puffer fish with balloons, exploring light refraction through magical bending light effects, watching raisins dance in fizzy soda, experiencing the thrill of making elephant toothpaste—a bubbly and explosive reaction—and testing friction by rolling balls across various surfaces to see how different textures affected the speed and movement.

Our commitment to a positive school environment shone brightly during Bullying No Way Day. Students took a stand against bullying by writing personal anti-bullying pledges, wearing purple attire, and donning odd socks as a symbol of their support for a more inclusive and respectful school culture. It also served as a visual reminder for embracing differences and accepting each other’s uniqueness.

The Book Fair was a hit, offering students a chance to explore and purchase books from Lamont Books, sparking a love for reading and new stories.

In writing procedures, middle schoolers honed their skills through engaging activities such as making fairy bread, crafting intricate origami, creating slime, mastering chopstick techniques, and making their own pizzas.

Finally, the OLA project inspired creativity and innovation as students designed advanced food production technologies, showcasing their problem-solving and design skills. It’s been a month full of learning, creativity, and community spirit—celebrating the many ways our student's shine!
