Captains Corner
Welcome to the Captain’s Corner, with Alyssia and Patrick D
In these past two weeks, we have had many fun events happen! We have had St Mary Mackillop’s Feast Day, Book Week, first aid, and District Athletics!
For the St Mary Mackillop feast day the whole school went down to the church and we had a liturgy. We sang songs about Mary MacKillop and it was a great experience.
Last Friday we had a lady from St John’s come in and teach us about first aid.
Everybody enjoyed it so much!
On Wednesday this week, we celebrated Book Week! It was amazing seeing everybody getting so into it!
Everybody had amazing costumes! Me (Alyssia) and all my friends dressed up as the crayons for our last book week together.
At the start of the day, we took part in the parade where the teachers and each of the classes walked around the hall showing off their outfits to the other grades. All the other grades cheered on each other and it was awesome.
We did tons of activities involving books and also made tons of arts and crafts based on books!
On Friday 26th, we had DISTRICT ATHLETICS. Students from grades 3 to 6 went to Duncan Mackinnon Reserve to take part in many different events. We had lots of people representing our school well, showing our STAR Values, trying their best in all the activities, and demonstrating great sportsmanship against other schools.
This day was so fun and everybody was encouraging each other.
Everybody thoroughly enjoyed it.
