Principal’s News

 Dear Families,

As we come to the end of our  Staff Welfare Week, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of our St Joseph’s Staff. Their hard work, dedication, and unwavering commitment are truly the backbone of the success of our school.

This week has all been about recognising the invaluable contributions they make and celebrating the incredible team spirit that drives us forward.

I am sure you join me in thanking our staff for their resilience, creativity, and the positive energy they bring to our school. Their efforts do not go unnoticed, and I am deeply appreciative of everything they do.

As you would be aware St Joseph’s is a high performing school. This high performance is a direct result of the quality of staff at our school. I wish to acknowledge the work of Amanda and Dean in leading our staff. Their expertise and passion for education is inspiring our staff to continue to strive for excellence.

They lead with a mantra of high support and high expectations.

Our reputation in both the local and broader community is continuing to grow. I am now being contacted by educators in the far outer eastern regions and some of our local private schools asking if they can come to our school to learn from our team.

St Joseph’s is leading the way in education. The high performance of our students is not achieved by chance but by careful and deliberate design. The expert leadership of our Deputy Principals Amanda and Dean continues to ensure we maintain our strong performance and aspiration for excellence.

First Eucharist

Congratulations to our Year 4 children who will receive their First Eucharist this Saturday evening. This sacrament is a special moment in their journey of faith, and a celebration of their growing relationship with God.

We keep the following children in our prayers that their hearts may be filled with peace, joy, and the love of Jesus:

Ava, Alice, Amitie, Lucas, Archer C, John, Salvador, Xavier L, Xavier V, Spencer, Nicholas, Rupert, Ellery & Billie

Dendy Athletics

Well done to our Year 3-6 children who competed in the Dendy Athletics event today at Duncan McKinnon Athletics Track. They competed in track and field events with a competitive spirit and great sportsmanship.

Thank you to Mrs Birch and Mr Cleary who coordinated this event and our parents and staff who supported the children on the day.

Father’s Day

Father’s Day is just around the corner, and it’s the perfect time to honor the incredible dads and male role models in our community. Whether they’ve been a guiding light, a source of endless support, or simply a great friend, our fathers and special friends deserve a special celebration.

This year, we invite you to join us in celebrating the remarkable fathers and father figures who have shaped our lives at our annual Fathers Day breakfast at 8am in the hall followed by our liturgy on Friday 30th August.

Our special dads and men in our community then get to enjoy a wonderful dinner at the Malvern Hotel later that evening.

A full day of celebration!

Hudson & Wolf both attend/ed CMLAC (Camberwell Malvern Little Athletics) specialising in Sprints at State Championship level, making them both an asset to their Baseball teams sprinting around the bases at a fast pace.

Wolf is the youngest player at 9 years old playing in the U13 little league, and Hudson is one of the youngest playing in the most senior team, both playing the Summer & Winter Season. Wolf scored his first line drive home run this season with Hudson on the diamond.
