INTERSCHOOL ATHLETICS CARNIVAL

Interschool Athletics Carnival

On Tuesday, September 3rd, on a beautiful spring day, thirty-seven students participated in the Interschool Athletics Carnival.  The Carnival was held at the 11th Street Old Aero Ovals, at the Mildura Little Athletics Sporting Complex.

I would like to thank Mr. McDermott, Ms. Oates, Ms. White and Ms. Hateley for all their help throughout the day.  I would also like to thank Rachel Luscombe for all her help throughout the day.

I would like to congratulate the students who competed on the day for their good behaviour and for giving their events 100% effort.

Highlights for the day were as follows:

• Isabell Alchin, who came first in 100m, 200m, 400m, triple jump and high jump in the 16 year old girls’ age group.  Isabell was also the age group champion.
• Addison Bell, who won the 16 year old girls’ javelin.
• Cooper Germane, who won the 17 year old boys’ 400m.
• Ashton Gowers, who won the 16 year old boys’ 400m.
• Will Price, who won the 17 year old boys’ high jump and javelin.
