Calculate the area of a rectangular rug at home and compare it with the area of the room.

Measure the Rug: Measure the length and width of a rectangular rug in the home. Record the measurements.

Calculate the Rug's Area: Use the formula Area = Length × Width to find out how much space the rug covers.

Measure the Room: Measure the length and width of the room where the rug is placed.

Compare Areas: Calculate the area of the room using the same formula. Compare the rug's area to the total area of the room to see how much space it takes up.
