Performing Arts & Music

The Foundation, Grade 1 and Grade 2 students have continued to enjoy Drama learning in the Performing Arts classroom. We looked at the Peter and the Wolf story and discussed the importance of music in drama.

The Foundation and Grade 1 students enjoyed acting out the Peter and the Wolf story as it played. They played each of the six characters; Peter, the bird, the duck, the cat, Grandpa and the wolf. The wolf was a clear favourite!

The Grade 1s have also been working on their own little group performances of Peter and the Wolf, using instruments to enhance their stories where they can.

The Grade 2s also enjoyed acting out the Peter and the Wolf story and are now collaborating in groups on their own performances that they are planning to perform to the class.
