Art Show BBQ 

The Merri-bek Primary School Art Show is coming up on Thursday September 12th between 4.30-6.00pm in the school hall.

 

The P&C will be hosting an art show BBQ from 4.30pm until sold out. Let’s celebrate the incredible art on display with a sausage in bread and great community vibes.

 

Vegetarian / Gluten-free / Halal options available.

 

Juice boxes / soft drink $2

Sausage in bread $4

 

Cash/card available

 

We’re on the hunt for some volunteers to help set up, sling some snags, take payments and pack up the BBQ. If you’d like to get that volunteer glow, message Kate on 0402857107.

 

 

Father’s and Special Person’s Day 

The biggest of thank yous to everyone who contributed to the Father’s and Special Person’s Day activities.

 

Together, we raised $3761 for our school!

 

A huge thank you to Nell Woods for all of her work in organising the events this year. From coordinating donations and creating amazing hampers to selling raffle tickets, securing corporate contributions, crafting, baking, and managing another fantastic gift stall—what an incredible effort! Congratulations and thank you, Nell!

 

Importantly, a huge shout out to all the families who donated to the raffle hampers and gift stall. It’s wonderful to see the support the school community gives these fundraisers.

Ready to LOL? Mark your calendars for the Comedy Night on 16 November at the school—a highlight of the MPS calendar! This adults-only evening is non-stop laughs and a great evening out. Make sure to save the date, and keep an eye out for more details coming soon.

Jetts deal for Merri-bek Primary School families + School fundraiser

Jetts Coburg, a local gym and long time school supporter, has just finished an upgrade of its gym and would like to offer our community a special offer. Merri-bek Primary School community members are able to sign up to Jetts Coburg this month for free, with $14.95 membership rates instead of $16.95. Membership involves: 

  • No lock in contracts
  • 24/7 Access to all Jetts gyms
  • Free PT session
  • $50 cash back to the school when you sign up for the weekly option
  • $100 Cash back to the school when you sign up for 12 months for just $649, normally $749
