Boarding

Mrs Andrew - Head of Boarding
Our newly appointed Head of Boarding Ava Purvis and Deputy Head of Boarding Hilary Guilfoyle have officially started in their new roles and have embraced assisting in leading formal dinners and planning upcoming events. This week they have called for volunteers for the Boarders Advisory Team (BAT) and are aiming to have two members from each year level join for the next twelve months.
Year twelve boarders have completed their first week of academic trials and have been focused on exam preparation. We have encouraged them to adopt good study habits and Mr Hay, Head of Year 12, has supported the girls each Thursday evening.
I was very proud of our boarding community when we hosted a group of exchange students from Taiwan at our formal dinner. Our guests were made to feel welcome, and our girls were polite and kind to the visiting students and their teachers. The dinner was an opportunity to experience a small part of what life at Kambala is like from a boarding perspective which was outside their comfort zone, having come from a rural school of just forty students.
