Year 7 Parent Information Evening

The Year 7 Parent Information Evening held on Wednesday 29th of November was a resounding success, drawing in a fantastic turnout from both incoming and existing families, despite the inclement weather predicted on the night. This engaging event served as a comprehensive guide for parents seeking crucial information about various aspects of our school community.

The evening commenced with a presentation covering vital topics, including the laptop purchasing process, navigating Compass, details about the upcoming State-wide Orientation Day scheduled for Tuesday, December 12th, and an overview of essential school policies, including mobile phone guidelines and our College uniform.

It was heartening to witness the active participation and keen interest from parents, demonstrating their commitment to ensuring a smooth transition for their children into our school environment. The session not only clarified queries but also fostered a stronger sense of community among families, highlighting the collaborative spirit that defines our school.

Following the information session, a BBQ offered a relaxed setting for parents, incoming students, and families to engage with our dedicated teaching staff and student leaders. This casual interaction allowed for invaluable connections to form, providing a glimpse into the warm and supportive network that awaits our newcomers.

The event's success owes much to the enthusiastic participation and support from our school community. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the families who joined us, making this evening a vibrant and informative affair. As we approach the upcoming State-wide Orientation Day on Tuesday 12th of December, we eagerly anticipate continuing this journey together, fostering a nurturing environment where every student can thrive.

Warm regards,
