Staff Leaving St Anthony's

Victoria Gelberg

After 12 wonderful years at St Anthony's Victoria Gelberg will be leaving at the end of the year. After 7 months of leave, Victoria has decided it is time for change and has accepted a position at a specialised school where she will work on student wellbeing, performing arts and mindfulness. Victoria has given the community of St Anthony's so much of her time, care and endless generosity. She leaves her mark here through amazing productions such as Alice in Wonderland, The Lion King, our very first ever digital production of Moana will forever be in the hearts and minds of our students and their families.

Jen Haigh

Jen Haigh commenced at St Anthony’s in 2021 and has worked as a Learning Support Officer during this time. Late last year I asked Jen to consider working with Tam to rejuvenate our Community Garden learning program. She was hesitant at first however, she exceeded all expectations and has created an amazing program for our students who now countdown the days before their next visit to the garden.

Jen leaves us at the end of this year as her and family are moving to Phillip Island.

Alexandra Tsimaras

Alexandra initially joined St Anthony’s in 2022 as our replacement Visual Art Teacher, her contract was then extended to 2023 and she picked up an additional day releasing staff from various classes. Alexandra has demonstrated flexibility and flare in our Art room. Since her time here at St Anthony’s she has enabled our students to participate in community artworks and have their work displayed around Noble Park and the wider community. Did you know that our students designed and painted many of the signal boxes in Noble Park and helped paint the amazing mural opposite the chemist warehouse.

Nerida Bryden

Nerida joined St Anthony’s this year, coming into a class after the year has started is never easy. Yet, Nerida jumped right in and assisted the students to settle quickly to routines and enable all students to flourish and learn. Nerida’s contract at St Anthony’s finishes at the end of the year however I’m sure we’ll have Nerida back in 2024 working as a replacement teacher.

Troy Holland

Troy joined St Anthony’s at the start of 2023 and worked to introduce our Music Therapy program, he quickly formed relationships with staff and students and became a vital part of our student wellbeing team. Troy formed a little musical lunch club and we’d often hear students drumming the djembe’s out near the quad during break times. Every day we often find students near Troy’s music room looking for him and hoping to be able to join him for a ‘jam’ with the instruments.
