In this time of Advent, as we prepare and wait in hope for the birth of Jesus, I have spent time looking back at what I had hoped for St Anthony’s in 2023.

I had hoped for a peaceful year filled with joy and happiness within our community.

The school leadership team and I hoped and planned for learning and that our school mantra of all flourishing and known would be lived in2023. We had also hoped that the opportunities that we provide at St Anthony’s would bring hope to all within our community.

I am extremely proud to report that as the year concludes the wonderful staff at St Anthony’s have enabled our community to flourish and most certainly be known. Our staff have provided many unique opportunities for our students to experience growth and success.

Some recent highlights we have experienced are:

Children’s University at Swinburne University of Technology

Children Graduating from Children’s University and Swinburne University of Technology. Ten students from St Anthony’s joined 150 students from other Victorian schools to graduate from Children’s University. In total the 160 students completed over 9000+ hours of learning to achieve their graduation certificates.

Congratulations to all involved.

Christmas Carols at South Eastern Private Hospital

A group of students visited South Eastern Private Hospital and sang Christmas Carols for the staff and patients. The students moved throughout the hospital singing carols and delighting those they encountered. The South Eastern Private Hospital have been partnering with St Anthony's for many years now and our students are fortunate to be involved in this community event.

Prayer Service and Christmas Carols

Our annual Christmas prayer service and carols was both a prayerful and joyous occasion. St Anthony’s students are the best singers who sing with enthusiasm and joy. Our Year 1/2 students acted the story of the Nativity and each class shared their own carol. The church was filled with red, green and Christmas themed clothing and we were very grateful for all who came to share the afternoon with us.

May you all have a Blessed and Merry Christmas.
