Community Garden News

Merry Christmas from the Community Garden!

Well, what a year it has been! Term 4 has been a very busy time in our garden with harvesting, sowing, mulching, weeding and of course watering!

Our younger year levels have been learning about our feathered friends: Honey and Jam, our resident chickens.

They learned about the parts of a chicken and also some pretty cool fun facts too!

We also ensured after all our students' hard work, that they had fun: playing games, colouring, using play doh and catching bubbles!

Our last class for the year, our Preps of 2023, finished off the year having fun watering, playing games and making their very own bubble wands!

It has been an absolute privilege to be part of these children’s learning journeys, both in the Community Garden and the classroom.  I am on a new journey in 2024 so I will not be with St Anthony’s next year but please know that I have loved every moment that I have been within this school community! It is an extremely unique, welcoming and supportive environment and I will miss you all.  Please know you will be left in amazing hands next year!
