NEWS & ADMINISTRATION

Mrs Caroline Galea

Dear Parents,

This is our last newsletter for 2023, I wish to thank each and every one of you for the support that you continue to give our school.  At this time of year we say goodbye to some of our families whose children move onto secondary school, marking a special milestone in their lives.

To those families who will not be returning to Holy Name in 2024, we wish your children the best of luck in their new schools.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a wonderful Christmas and a safe and happy break.

Thank you

We wish to thank Marla Paul for her time on the SAC Committee, and wish her family well as they will now all be in secondary school.

A reminder that tomorrow is the last day for lunch orders for 2023 and we thank Rez and Motahar from Jamaica Blue in Northland for providing lunch orders for our children this year.

To the members of the P&F, M.A.D. Group and SAC Committee, we thank you all for your continuous support and contributions throughout the year.

Last day of school

Friday 15th is the last day of school. The children will finish at 1:00pm.  At 12:45 the children will go out and form a guard of honour before going back to their classroom to be dismissed.  All parents are invited to the guard of honour.

Keeping with tradition, we invite the Year 6 parents to the school at 12:15 to join with their children and the Year 6 teachers to reminisce about their time at Holy Name.  At 12:45 the children will process through the guard of honour that will go through to the church.

2024 Fees

Last week, we published the fee structure for 2024 and it can be found again in this newsletter. We still have some outstanding 2022/2023 Fees. If you are experiencing difficulties with your fees, please see me.  However to those families that have not made any attempts to make any contributions, we ask that these fees are settled before the new year.

2024 Student Stationery Lists

Here are the stationery requirements for your child in 2024. Please make sure they have all the items on the list (you can recycle any left overs from this year).

The 2024 Preps have already received their list.

If you prefer a hard copy, send your child to the office.

Parent Helpers Morning Tea

Thank you to the parent helpers that attended the morning tea last Tuesday. We would sincerely like to thank each and every one of our amazing community for your support.

Christmas Carols    Tuesday 12th December @5.30pm.

Christmas Carol practise is going well.  I hope to see you all at Carols on Tuesday evening....    Please note that we cannot have dogs on premises.

Our students should start arriving at 5pm please.

We will be selling sausages (we will have much more than last year!) and drinks (soft drink and water).

**It's not too late to donate items for the raffle hampers.  Just drop them to the office. The P&F are grateful for anything that they receive. Some of the things that we have had in the past are food items, wine, beauty products, vouchers, games, children's entertainment items. If you work for a business or have your own business and would like to donate something toward the end of year raffle, it can be left at the office by next Monday at the latest.

Car Show

In 2024, Holy Name will be holding a Car Show on Sunday, March 17th. This event will help us raise funds to make Holy Name an even better place for your child. You can support our school in several ways.

  1. If you have a car that you would like to show,  please register your car by using the following link https://share.hsforms.com/1Q7FPiezpSpSCErJpdbya6wd6rzr
  2. Do you work in an automotive related industry? Why not hold a stall to advertise your business. Please come and speak to a car show member.
  3. Clear your calendar and attend our car show.
  4. Sponsor the car show through a gold or silver package.

Thank you to Adriano Persichetti from MY AGENT real estate for their Platinum sponsorship for the Car Show in 2024.
