On the 20th May I was fortunate to travel to Darwin to attend the bi-annual national ASBA conference. The guest speakers were a mix of educational specialists, economic experts and inspirational individuals.
For me the standout presentation was by Prof. Arnold Dix. In late 2023 Arnold assisted in saving 41 trapped miners from a collapsed tunnel. I highly recommend his book.

I can draw some subtle comparisons with our own Innovation Centre which was handed over to the College on the 16th June. It was a wonderful collaboration between St Stephen’s staff, CES Building and planning staff, Clark & Prince Architects and Keir Builders that has produced a fantastic result. I pay tribute to the professional staff involved for their skills, innovation and patience.
