Library News: Term 2

As we turn the final pages of term 2, the library has been a hive of creativity, collaboration, and community spirit. Here’s a look at some of the wonderful moments we had this term:
Mother’s day Card Making – A Creative Celebration
In the lead-up to Mother’s day, our library transformed into a colourful craft studio. Students from all year levels joined in to create heartfelt cards for the special women in their lives. It was a joy to see students taking the time to express their appreciation in such a personal way.
Regional Readers Cup – A Proud Moment
We were honoured to host this year’s Regional readers Cup, and what a fantastic event it was. Our school fielded two enthusiastic teams who represented us with pride. One of our teams achieved an impressive second place, showcasing their deep reading comprehension and teamwork. Even more heart-warming was the sportsmanship shown by our second team, who welcomed a participant from another school into their group after a last-minute withdrawal. This inclusivity and school spirit were truly commendable and did not go unnoticed.
Senior Book Club Launch – A New Chapter Begins
We are excited to announce the launch of our Senior Book Club. This initiative was instigated by a senior student and invites other seniors to dive into thought-provoking reads and share their insights in a relaxed, welcoming environment. Our first book is Anatomy by Dana Schwartz – a gothic tale of ambition, science and secrets. We cannot wait to hear what our readers think.
As always the library remains a place for curiosity, connection and community. Thank you to all students and staff who continue to make it such a vibrant part of our school.
Happy reading,
