Primary Art
Students began the year looking at using different drawing mediums and techniques creating self portraits using only straight lines and layered landscapes.
Inspired by artist Iris Scott, the students in F2C, F2D & F2E created movement in their paintings showing a dog shaking off water. They especially enjoyed flicking paint splatters across their pages.
After looking at the bright and fun artworks of Yayoi Kusama, the students of F2A & F2B created their own spotty cat by following a directed drawing, gluing on spots and then cutting out their cat to add to their background.
Primary Cross Country
Grade 5/6 Buddies
On Friday 21st March our senior primary leaders met with their foundation buddies for the second time this term. We talked about numbers, colours and counting.
Lots of conversations and yard play dates were created and we simply can’t wait until week 10 for our next meeting!
Songkran
This presentation was researched and created by Tyson and Adele in Year 5/6A to bring awareness to the Thai national holiday known as Songkran. This celebration signifies the beginning of the New Year. Great work!
