Year 7 News
SRC Congratulations to Marnie Harmer, Erin Clark, River Stirling, and Victor Sax on being selected to represent Year 7 on the SRC for 2025! They have already been hard at work planning a variety of exciting events for the coming terms.
NAPLAN The Year 7 students have successfully completed their NAPLAN testing, which consisted of four assessments over a two-week period. These tests provide valuable insights into each student's progress and help identify areas where additional support may be needed.
School Hat Raffle A big thank you to Mrs. Griffiths and Mr. Aikman for purchasing a Donald High School broad-brimmed hat for each year level to raffle. Congratulations to Ellie Burke, the lucky Year 7 recipient!
Communication All parents and students have access to the Xuno platform, which provides a convenient way to stay in touch with the school and access important information. A welcome email for Xuno was sent on January 28th. If you haven't received it or need assistance, please contact the school office.
Diaries Students' diaries will be checked and signed every Friday. However, some students have not been bringing their diaries to class. I strongly encourage all students to have their diary with them at all times to record important information.
Homework A significant number of students have not been completing and submitting their homework tasks. For Maths, homework assignments have been uploaded to the Xuno platform, where students can view tasks, print extra sheets if needed, check submission status, and review teacher feedback. Please ensure that homework is completed on time to support academic progress.

Firing up in Science
The Yr 7 Scientists have been practising for their up and coming Bunsen Burner Competency Test.
They have been learning the different parts of the Bunsen, they have practised how to light a Bruner Bunsen (no gas or matches involved yet) and learning about when to use the blue flame, so that they can smash this test.
We are all excited about the gaining our Bunsen Burner Licenses.
