National RIDE2SCHOOL Day
This week EVPS participated in RIDE2SCHOOL DAY on Friday. There are many students at the school that ride, walk, or scoot to school.
There are more than 350,000 students across Australia who will ride, walk or scoot to school this Friday. It’s a great start to kick-start healthy habits.
Riding, walking, or scooting to school helps children meet their daily physical activity. It helps improve concentration and energy levels which helps the students ready to learn.
Travelling to school by bike, walking, or scooting helps reduce cars on the roads and around schools which makes it easier for everyone to get to and from school.
Students will be asked on Friday if they walked, rode, or scooted to school. We will complete a Hands Up Tally for each class. The class with the most students who walked, rode, or used a scooter will receive a certificate.
Well done to everyone for getting involved as a community in promoting a Healthy School Community.
Chicken Club
Chicken club is a massive hit with students. The students line up each Tuesday and Thursday at recess to have a chance to feed and cuddle a chicken.
