Victorian Premiers' Reading Challenge 2025 (VPRC)
The Victorian Premiers' Reading Challenge (VPRC) has begun for 2025 and is something you can do at home to help your child/ren to track and enjoy their reading. It is run by the Victorian Government and all our students are encouraged to participate.
Students from Foundation to Year 2 are challenged to read or experience 30 books. For students in Years 3 to 6, the challenge is to read 15 books.
The idea is to log the books the students have read on the VPRC website, encouraging them to choose some books from the Challenge list to expand their usual reading preferences, as well as some of their own choice. Students will need a username and password to do this, which I will send home with each student. Teachers also have a copy if needed.
Everyone who completes the challenge will receive a Certificate of Achievement & a Reading Champion badge in Term 4. The Challenge runs until September 2025 and I will publish reminders when it is coming to an end.
For more information, head to the official website: https://vprc.eduweb.vic.gov.au/home
If you have any questions or problems logging in, please contact me via email on dhendriks@sjyarrajunction.catholic.edu.au and I will respond to you ASAP.
I hope many students will get involved and have fun with the Challenge.
