Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Carers,

As Term 1 comes to a close, I want to take a moment to reflect on the many wonderful highlights that have shaped the beginning of our school year. It has been a term filled with learning, joy, community, and faith — and I am incredibly proud of all that our students, staff, and families have achieved together.

Highlights from Term 1:

A Wonderful Start to 2025

We welcomed new students, families, and staff members to our school community with open arms. Our Kindergarten children have settled beautifully, and it's been heartwarming to see friendships blossom across all year levels.

Faith and Community

Throughout the term, our students have deepened their understanding of our school values and their faith through prayer, liturgies, and preparation for the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

Welcome BBQ & Open Days

It was wonderful to gather as a community at our Welcome BBQ early in the term. Our Open Days were also a great success, offering families a chance to see our classrooms in action and feel the strong sense of belonging that defines Holy Family.

Swimming Carnival & Water Safety

Our Swimming Carnival at PLC was a fun and competitive day, showcasing the students' skills and house spirit. Meanwhile, our Kindergarten and Year 1 students enjoyed their Water Safety program, developing essential skills in a fun and safe environment.

Gymnastics Lessons

Students participated in a Gymnastics program throughout the term, developing coordination, balance, and confidence through engaging and challenging physical activities.

SPARK Days

Selected students took part in SPARK (High Potential and Gifted Education) enrichment experiences, encouraging critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration across a range of disciplines.

Meet the Teacher Interviews

Thank you to all families who participated in our Meet the Teacher Interviews. These conversations are so valuable in building strong partnerships between home and school to support each child’s learning journey.

Wellbeing Week

This special week focused on nurturing joy, gratitude, and mindfulness. Students participated in a range of activities promoting physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing — including our Creative Arts performances, which were a highlight for many!

New Staff

We were thrilled to welcome new staff to our team this term:

  • Lynda Jones, Diverse Learning Teacher
  • Sophie Trigona, Year One Teacher
  • Bel O’Shannessy, School Office Support

Each has made a wonderful contribution to our school already.

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible staff, whose dedication, creativity, and genuine care reflect the heart of our Catholic mission. Each day, they model compassion, perseverance, and the love of Christ, nurturing a learning environment where students are encouraged to grow in faith, knowledge, and kindness. I am deeply grateful for the many ways they serve our community and witness the Gospel through their work.

We extend our warm wishes to Father Colin as he journeys to England for the coming months. We thank him for his continued spiritual guidance and presence in our school, and we look forward to welcoming him back later in the year.

As we commence the term break, I pray this time offers everyone the opportunity to rest, renew, and be refreshed. In the stillness of this time, may we find God’s gentle presence and give thanks for the blessings we have shared this term. As we enter the Easter season, I wish all families a safe and restful holiday break. May the hope of Easter bring peace and renewal to your homes. We look forward to welcoming all students back for Term Two on Wednesday, 30 April.

Enrolments for 2026

If you know families with children ready to begin school next year, we encourage you to recommend Holy Family. Enrolment interviews are already underway, with prospective parents sharing wonderful feedback about our warm and inclusive community. Parents have been particularly impressed by the respectful manners of our students and the confident, passionate way our senior students lead school tours. Families interested in joining our Holy Family community can arrange a private tour, collect an enrolment pack from the school, or enquire online via the link on our website.

Kindest regards,

Pauline Dinale - Principal
