If you haven't got an ATAR,  or your ATAR isn't what you were hoping for, don't stress, there are always Pathways into your chosen career.  

 

Australian Catholic University

 

Complete a Pathway Program: these include courses such as diplomas and certificates, and can help you into a bachelor's degree when you don't meet the admission requirements.  acu.edu.au/pathwayprograms

 

Foundation Studies

 

If you haven't got an ATAR, (VM or non scored), or your ATAR isn't what you were hoping for, you can apply for the Foundation Studies through VTAC.  Develop the skills and confidence to thrive at university and gain guaranteed entry into an ACU undergraduate degree - provided you achieve the grade point average and English levels required for your chosen degree.  acu.edu.au/fs

 

Victoria University

 

At VU,  if you don’t meet the entry requirements for your preferred course, or you’re not ready to commit to a full degree program, they will help you find an alternative pathway to achieve your study goals.

 

By successfully completing a pathway course, you’ll gain entry into the next level of study. Many pathway courses even allow you to earn credit towards a qualification, helping you fast-track your degree and complete your studies sooner.  https://www.vu.edu.au/study-at-vu/courses/pathways-to-vu

 

Federation University

 

Federation Access Studies (FAST):  https://www.federation.edu.au/study/entry-pathways/pathways-to-undergraduate/

 

FAST is a 6-month course designed to lay the foundations of university-level study. You’ll learn how to research, write academically and use university systems. When you complete the course, you’ll be eligible to study multiple courses.  https://www.federation.edu.au/study/entry-pathways/pathways-to-undergraduate/

 

Complete the general FAST stream, including the FASTP1013 Mathematics and Introductory Statistics elective, and you'll be eligible to study numerous courses such as Arts;  Biomedicine; Education studies; Social Work; Psychology etc.

 

If your dream is to become a teacher, the Bachelor of Education Studies or the Bachelor of Sport, Physical and Outdoor Education will put you on the right track. Pathways include:

  • Bachelor of Education studies 
    • Complete first year and transfer into the second year of a teaching degree 
    • Complete the full degree then do a Master of Teaching 
  • Bachelor of Sport, Physical and Outdoor Education

La Trobe University / RMIT / Swinbourne / Deakin

 

All offer pathways into courses through their Diploma pathways program.
