Zinda Multicultural Festival.

If you love international flavours, world music & cultural performance, and outdoor event vibes get ready for Bendigo’s popular Zinda Multicultural Festival.

The day will start with a welcome to country and smoking ceremony to pay our respects to the Traditional custodians of these lands we now call home: the Dja Dja Wurrung, Taungurung, Torta Torta, Wurundjeri, Woi Wurrung and Barapa Barapa Peoples. There will be performances by the Chinese Lion Dancers, Bollywood costume and dance, Hazaragi Poetry, Karen bamboo dance, Navid Forogh (Afghan Star winner), Son Cuba, Indonesian gamelan music and South Sudanese story & song of life and more. 

Plenty of options for the young and young at heart also, so look out for henna art, hair braiding, an interactive circus, face painting, the VFR fire truck, Victoria Police highway patrol, African drummingworkshop and more. There will also be a creative corridor which will be filled with unique treasuresfor purchase. Traditional Afghan and Karen clothing, Sisterworks crafts & arts, Murnong Mamasspices and native goods, White Nile Craft Group and Bendigo Food Share fresh local produce stall.

There will be mouth-watering cuisines by Konjo Mamma, Jas’s Indian Kitchen, Himalaya Tibetan Food Truck, Nor Tea Bubble Tea, Icecream Republic, Fresh Tandori, Pogo Espresso, Saccha Sugar Cane Juice & Karen Kitchen to tempt your tastebuds.

BendiGnome Hunt

Bendigo is celebrating the 20th year of its famous Tulip display with over 53,000 tulips blooming along Pall Mall, the Conservatory and various gardens.

The BendiGnome Hunt is part of the spring Bloom program. Wander around our beautiful parks and gardens and go for a great BendiGnome Hunt. They have been hiding and getting up to mischief in four of our gardens. Event ends this Sunday! Click here to download the map. 

Spring Fair at Balgownie Estate

On Sunday 15th of October from 12:00PM - 5:00PM Balgownie Bendigo will host their Spring Fair which will include a market with the region’s best produce, arts and crafts on sale, as well as a clearance sale of their past vintages and bin ends. 

The Maiden Gully Marong Lions Club are bringing their BBQ and live music will be on the Cellar Door deck from 12pm.
