ICAS ASSESSMENTS

ICAS Assessments

In Term 3 a number of our students in grades 3, 4, 5 and 6 students participated in the ICAS Assessments for Digital Technologies, Science, English and Maths.

ICAS is an academic competition that challenges students and recognises their achievements in core subjects such as Digital Technologies, English, Maths and Science. The competition was started over 40 years ago and has since become an internationally recognised annual event completed across 41 countries.

The competition is designed for recognising academic excellence for high potential students and Boroondara Park Primary School did very well, we are very proud of all our students’ achievements. 

DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES

38 students participated and were awarded 1 high distinction, 3 distinctions, 3 credits, 8 merits and 10 participation certificates.  

SCIENCE

39 students participated and were awarded with 3 high distinctions, 5 distinction, 9 credits, 4 merits and 18 participation certificates.

ENGLISH

68 students participated and we were awarded 1 high distinction, 8 distinctions, 22 credits, 7 merits and 30 participation certificates.

MATHS

73 students participated and were awarded with 1 high distinction, 18 distinctions, 16 credits, 8 merits and 30 participation certificates.

Quite a few of our students received a Distinction achieving in the to 10% of participants or High Distinction achieving in the top 1% of participants and were presented with their certificates at Assembly.
