Rediscovering the Sacraments of Initiation: Baptism, Confirmation and the Eucharist
The building blocks of a Christian life within the Catholic Church are built upon a personal and communal relationship with God through the person of Jesus Christ. This relationship is expressed sacramentally and ritually within the Initiation Sacraments. The sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and the Eucharist call Christians to discipleship of Christ and to be visible signs of God’s presence in the world. What does our personal and communal relationship with God mean for our lives? How is our church leadership or ministry seen as flowing from the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and the Eucharist? All are welcome.

Understanding the Trinity
Though sometimes seen as a complex philosophical concept of God, the heart of understanding the Trinity lies in God’s self-revelation in the person of Jesus Christ. This course will examine how we come to understand God as Trinitarian and what significance this holds for our contemporary faith. To gain a proper understanding of the Trinity, three stages will be followed:
(1) Biblical foundations;
(2) Development in the patristic period and medieval theology; and
(3) Contemporary retrieval of the doctrine.

God With Us: Preparation for Advent, Christmas and the Epiphany
Christmas is a special time of year. The weeks leading up to it feel both festive and frantic. In the midst of the clamour of the season, the Church’s season of Advent prepares us for the real treasure of Christmas, that God is truly with us, in the flesh. Join us as we journey with the Saints and the Three Wise Men to leave behind all that distracts us to find Christ and discover what makes us truly rich, free and whole.
