Stage 1 - Mrs Crane

Stage 1

This term has flown by, we have had a very busy couple of weeks in Stage 1.

Last Wednesday we got to go on our first excursion to Tamworth to enjoy the Marsupial Park and the Stage production Hiccup.

We have been reading books by the author Oliver Jeffers and we used some of his themes as an inspiration for our writing. In Maths we have covered two topics 3D shapes and Division.

Congratulations to our winners from Week 9 - Andy and Alex !  They received a voucher for a complimentary ice-cream courtesy of The Coolamon in Quirindi.

This week's challenge is a code cracker with a hidden message!

Nature Ninjas - our gardening club

We are finalising our harvest of the winter vegetables, tending to some lettuce, herbs and flowers we planted recently, as well as busily preparing our soil for spring planting. We are so excited to have some buds and fresh shoots happening in our garden; spring has sprung!  We have also planted a new batch of tomatoes, peas and varieties of lettuce, as well as beginning to propagate our own seeds to stagger our harvest.

A big THANK YOU to the students who remain committed to this initiative.  Be sure to scroll across to see all of the photos from this week.
