Chicken Coop

We would like to thank Ian and Sean Bowley for putting together our fabulous new Chicken Coop. This is a wonderful addition to our veggie gardens, composting system and worm farm. Mrs Meade is going to bring some chickens in to start eating the food scraps, weeds and occasionally the over abundance of spinach that we continue to produce.  When we clean out the chicken coop, this material will then go into the tumbler to make rich organic compost to renew our garden beds and feed our herb garden and fruit trees as well.

Volunteers.  Thank you so much!

Thank you to Brad Stubbs for volunteering and moving many of the roofing tiles from the shadehouse to the new bike shed pictured in photo 1 above. We really appreciate your efforts with that.

Attendance - 33 unexplained absent days outstanding.

Once again we are sending home overdue attendance forms today for families to fill in and return to school before the end of this week.  We reiterate to parents that it is a legal requirement that absences are explained within 7 days on Compass.  It really can't be any easier than to log onto the app and put in an explanation.

Visitors

Please remember to sign in and out of the school through the kiosk, everytime you come through the front gate. It is imperative that we have a record of everyone who is on the school grounds at all times - this is to keep children safe and in case of any emergency that may arise.

If you are having a 3 way conference, you will need to sign in to say you are here to see your child's class teacher as they receive a text message to say you are on site.

Years 3-6 Sport and Rec Excursion

As per Compass Event:

Payment for this excursion is due by the 27th of October.  Please keep this in mind as it is only one month away.  The cost of this excursion is $100 per child.

Uniform

Due to the changeable weather, students are able to wear either FULL SUMMER or FULL WINTER UNIFORM  now but not a combination of both.

Working With Children Checks

If you are involved in volunteering here at school in any capacity you need to have a current WWCC.  These are available through Service NSW and are free for the volunteers check.  We are sending out sms messages to our current parents whose WWCC is expired or due to expire soon. If you have not sent through your details to the office we would very much appreciate it if you could make it a priority.
