End of Term 3

Dear families and friends,

As Lisa and Sally are both away on leave today, I'm in charge of the newsletter!!

Can you believe that Term 3 has come to an end already!  Wow, time flies.  It has been an action packed final week.

Taekwondo

The F-2's enjoyed their last sessions of Taekwondo this week.  Check out the action photos on the F/1/2 Taekwondo page.

Drama Victoria Excursion

The Years 2-6 attended Hamilton College on Monday for their last session with Drama Victoria.  The students once again enjoyed their time with teacher Nick, who managed the close to 60 students marvelously. From individual, partner to small group activities the students were encouraged to embrace their imagination and silly sides all while learning about respect, leadership and collaboration.

Cavendish's Got Talent Show

Congratulations to everyone involved in the show on Wednesday night.  There has been a lot of time and rehearsing put into the show, so we hope that all the parents & families enjoyed the night. Thank you to all the families who supplied a plate of supper for the event.  A huge thank you to Mrs Huf for all her hard work, time and effort she has put into teaching, rehearsals, prop making, setting up, packing up etc. We are very appreciative.

Dis-Glo - change of date

The Dis-Glo date has been changed to Friday 27th October.  See notes in newsletter.

Illnesses

We have had quite a few of our students, staff and families unwell this term and we hope that you are all feeing better and get some energy back over the holiday break in readiness for the start of Term 4.

Mobile Phones at school

We have had some students bring mobile phones to school this week.  Could you please ensure that these are left at home as students are not allowed to have them at school.

Fruit Tree donation

Bunnings, Hamilton have kindly donated four fruit trees to school for our environment centre.  A big thank you to Bunnings and to Merryn for arranging this.

Best of luck Mrs Huf

We would like to wish Mrs Huf, James and Charlie all the very best for the birth of their new baby.  We look forward to meeting your newest family member.  Thank you for all the time and effort you have put into the students music, choir and drama classes over the year.  We hope to see you back teaching at Cavendish PS at some stage.

Term 4

The first day of Term 4 is Monday 2nd October.  Could parents please ensure that their children have their sun hats at school everyday during Term 4.  No Hat = No Play!

We will also welcome Mrs Barber back to Cavendish PS to teach music on a Monday morning.

Have a wonderful break everyone and I hope that you all can get some family time in during the next two weeks.  See you back on Monday 2nd October.
